Song of Rome by Denis O’Hare and Lisa Peterson

Lighting EOS Programmer

World Premier at the 2024 Spoleto Festival, Song of Rome tells the story of "Virgil’s Aeneid to explore the fall of the democratic republic in ancient Rome. In modern language, the play toggles between past and present, illuminating power dynamics that feel as real and resonant today as two millenniums ago. What truths do the classics hold, and what has been obscured?"

The Dock Street Theatre received a lighting package upgrade in the spring of 2024, including new programming and control systems, moving lights, and LED fixtures provided by ETC.  The Spoleto Team loaded in these new systems and set the bar for the new Lonestar, Lustr II and III, and Apex systems in the space

I had the amazing opportunity to work with the team at Dock Street and with Scott and Avery on this production creating the world of Song of Rome!
